Never fear the blessed night is here, it will hide you in its depths,

It will eat the pain of your regret, and drink the tears you have wept,

And in its very dark embrace will you at last forget your woes,

It will give you solace untill the morn and drive away your foes.

On its very coldest shores will sweet numbness finally set,

Only then will ignorence concieve and bliss it will beget,

For once this frost gets to your mind and clouds your every thought,

it will hide from sight the desecration your very hand has wrought.

It will not judge you on your crimes, its silence will absolve,

It will reduce to nothingness the problems you cant solve,

Pressed against its beating heart you will not hear the world,

You will not hear its wicked taunts, nor the curses it has hurled.

It will wrap you into apathy, and lull you into sleep,

A slumber colder than mere death will you forever reap,

The blessed night will never ask for more than you can give,

For it believes the old adage of  "LIVE AND LET LIVE.".
