Lo and Behold, the timid stream that panders to the breeze,

must chart a course through broken dreams to meet the endless Sea,

It's tortous path is fraught with doubt and laden with remorse,

it must face the raging river which screams at it till its hoarse.

With great resolve the trickling stream edges to the river's bank,

singing sweet goodbye's to blades of grass who from its nectar drank,

The mournful breeze gazes at the stream as it prepares to try,

with a final prayer and tearful sigh it bids its friend goodbye.

How many streams before it have made this same mistake,

trusting the churning, swirling beast which knows only how to take,

but fear offtimes beyond a point brings on a braver state,

it sometimes forces timid streams to take the leap of faith.
