Mr. Ramos VS the Mole

One sunny morning, Mr. Ramos, a world-renowned scientist, is conducting an experiment at the garden outside his mansion. He was observing two corn plants, trying to determine the effect of sunlight in the quality of crops. The first corn plant was on the shade while the other was at the middle of the garden. While Mr. Ramos was examining the crops, he noticed that his garden was full of dirt and fallen leaves so he decided to clean it. Quickly, he entered the warehouse inside his mansion. He grabbed his broom and rake before hastily returning to his garden to clean the mess.

When he went back to his garden, Mr. Ramos was surprised to find out that one of the corn cobs was gone. He tried to locate it but it was nowhere to be found. He was anxious because he won’t be able to finish his experiment anymore. Mr. Ramos was very angry that he picked up a large rock and threw it as hard as he could. The rock smashed into a million pieces. Just then, a little brownish mole popped up on the ground next to the other corn cob. He hastily tried to steal it.

“So, it was you!” Mr. Ramos furiously said. He hurriedly grabbed his rake and tried to stab the mole to death but the mole was able to hide underground and evade his attack. Instead, the rake hit the corn cob and sent grains of corn flying everywhere.

Meanwhile, the mole was angry and was planning to have revenge on Mr. Ramos. It quickly dug underground towards Mr. Ramos’s swimming pool. It popped up again and threw soil into the pool, making it dirty. Mr. Ramos looked and saw the mischief the mole had done, so he raced towards the mole with his rake. When he was about to kill the mole, it hid again and unable to stop, Mr. Ramos fell into the pool.

“That is it,” Mr. Ramos said to himself. “I am going to kill that mole!” He climbed out of the dirty pool and went back inside his mansion. He went straight to his laboratory and got some hydrochloric acid (HCl). Upon returning to his garden, he located the hole the mole had made on the ground. He poured the hydrochloric acid in it. To make sure that the mole will get burned, he poured fifty liters of hydrochloric acid non-stop. Unfortunately for him, the mole was able to escape by popping out of the ground and climbing a tree. Mr. Ramos tried to hit the mole by throwing his broom up to the tree but he missed. The broom smashed the window of his mansion. The mole laughed, knowing that Mr. Ramos cannot reach it now.

Angrily, Mr. Ramos went back inside his mansion one final time. The mole waited in anticipation. When Mr. Ramos returned, he used an ax to chop the tree where the mole is on. After a few minutes, the mole fell to the ground. Knowing that this was his chance, Mr. Ramos tried to mercilessly step on the mole to crush it but again, it was able to escape and run away and hide behind the bushes. Mr. Ramos was very angry. He grabbed his pistol and shot the bushes many times. Leaves went flying everywhere.

After completely obliterating his garden, he was finally able to kill the mole. He looked to make sure that it was dead. In the end, it turned that the animal he killed was not a mole; it is just his pet hamster who had escaped from its cage.
