Inspired by true life story...

In The Red Car

You were there,
I looked into your eyes
and let you know
words that let you
go.

You knew, I knew
this would happen.

And as your voice
read the written love
seasoned burned the hurt
in snow.

For the dying flower
found a place of silence
in your heart.

Whereupon, you
pierced pain
and the undefined
upon the moment
replying
to a wind
yearn to the muted son
and one.

As that wistful sorrow,
in your eyes soared
that tranquil night
our whole heart parted
that no one else hears.

And once a year
repeat that voice
in the written love
and I away,
unite and feel and love.
