Enlightenment

The stream of enlightenment flows
Its temper lulled with the passage of time

The canvas in our mind remains blank
Black and white the world has become drab

The Discussions of wit now sound of banter
Wisdom a concept that’s been long forgotten

The mind is an ageless being
No longer growing within this world

The people of this world forgetting themselves
Now lost within the richest sea of plastic faces

The diamond a gem sought by all
Enlightenment though, it’s worth its weight in gold.
