Me, the strange offspring in spring,

Mom, for which the angels’ bells ring.

Dad, the turner and twister from all,

Them, two and furry and small.

Grandma, a racket and stranded ash from which she did leave,

Grandma, from the rainbow and colors in which did she believe.

Grandpa, a watcher of the dull glowing light,

Grandpa, the remains of that sugar dusted kite.

And her, and him,

The relation so grim.

And all of them,

From this tree did they stem.

But there’s only a word to describe each one,

Family, oh family, other like none.
