Neighbour Queen Madrid

The little old woman who lives up the stairs,

Washes silver-branch daisies without any cares.

Drip, drop, water to the windowsill,

The birds fly by with a feathered trill.

In the morning she shakes out her strands of ash,

And in a voice like piano that sparkles like flash.

"May this be the May, the one of them all",

Sweet note like flower keys and a swan of the fall.

Twirling around with the sky of snow lights,

Stranded ashes and brilliant night brights.

Neighbour Queen Madrid whom I'll hold in a heart,

Witty and charming and sharp as a dart.
