I had written this at about 2:30 in the morning. It is about an ex. When we were together. He was about to go on trial for something and I refused to leave his side.

Him

My heart is swelled with pain and worry

Simply because I know Im not his jury

I don't decide his consequence

These events are happening in a a bad sequence.

He made a mistake and now has to pay the price

I told him I'd stand by his side,

Even though it might not end nice

His mother left his side;

So I told him I would help him hold his head high.

He said he feels a large sense of courage

When I am around

That's why I told him,

By his side, I'd stay bound.
