Dream me softly as you sleep
While Autumns beechwood besoms sweep
The wishes that we held inside
Beneath a golden leafy tide,
And in the morning when you wake
There is a promise we should make
To sweep the leaves from every day
And let our wishes show the way.

Guide me quietly at night
As dawn awakes, and starts to fight
The darkness, as it fades before
The morning knocking at my door,
And in a crisp reflected lake
Before my eyes were yet awake
I dreamt you standing lonely there
As if your heart was unaware.

Please take me gently to your heart
And let us never ever part
Let Autumns beechwood besoms sweep
The scent of darkness from our sleep,
Until we rise to morning’s wine
And beckon for our sun to shine
On every path we walk upon
Until the walk of life is done…
