My adventures in 2009...what a roller coaster ride

2009: Miracles, Shockers and WTF?!

My, My how does time fly when one is having fun –

I believe I’ve met the man of the dreams, he lives out west among the Pacific waves. Seattle is his home, coffee hell as what he’s calls it, but Christmas tree land and possibly home someday is what I’ve like to name is as.
I finally flew into the blue, on good ol’ Southwest, they’ll save the day for anyone, everyday.Road trips though, there not the way, when you’re stuck in a one-horse town, with no taxi to save the day. Dragging 80 lbs. of luggage in the hot, June sun is no way to spend a summer vacation. Traveling is fun and all, but not when you’re stranded, broke and s.o.l. Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers but not for stinky, over-crowded greyhounds that scatter the states, I’ll stick with my aero planes, gracias.
Concerts, well, only 3 this year but went with some of the greatest people I know. Being a body guard for my teenage cousin is always fun, as white trash tries to “tap that ass” while sippin’ on some Bud Lite. Rocking our brains out, sore throats and all, now that my friends, is how to “rock out. Rock on the Range, year 2 for me, bringing along my main squeeze to the chaos. It was a riot, we can say, getting bruised and mangled in the mosh pits, (oh my!) and holy crap: breaking my glasses during my favorite band’s set – Korn! Yeah, another good time for us rock kids. But ending the night with Slipknot, and being nearly a few feet from Corey Taylor, yeah, it was awesome! Now, for some low-profile bands, the Newport was the place to be. I re-discovered campus life and fell in love with so-cal death metal (again). It was a match made in bloody hell.
Utter craziness was getting a damn speeding ticket on (What?!) EASTER!! Peter cottontail was not happy – he left me a poop covered egg! Speaking of cars, man, I’m on my third one this year. 2009 was not my year for cars –making multiple trips to the auto doctor was not what I wanted to do! Paying the piper is not what I desire! I enjoy feeling the cool breeze swaying my newly shorter hair out the car window.
September was the best time ever –meg started preschool…. going to a (Washington) county fair, riding roller coasters with my amante – ahh…feeling like a kid again never felt better! Feeling loved was ever greater! And the alcohol – oh boy, 3 drinky drinks + empty tummy = drunk Jamie! “I’M NOT DRUNNNNK!”Good times…celebrating birthday 24 with amigos was great!
Working on campus can be a killer…but football season can be brutal on a person..so beware drunkies!Little sleep = little patience for all you dumb asses!
I can say 2009 has been quite a year, one to remember for many more to come, hoping more good times will come in 2010 – (but hopefully won’t get too terribly drunk again!)
