It is a simple poem, all happening in a dream. The thoughts of a beautiful lady around you, the thought of lovely company and all that accompanies it.

Your room I wish I was,

You I protect, the dark night

With my concrete wall of might,

To kill the pompous sleep on sight.

The bed I wish I was,

Carrier of the cosy hay,

You, the cold floor, to keep away,

That sleep come it may.

The pillow I wish I was,

To grope your dimpled cheeks,

To muffle your sweet snores.

And absorb your sleepy sighs.

The sheets I wish I was,

Covering you with loving memories

That creates wonderful dreams,

And sincere care of a warm night.

In your dreams I wish I was,

The reason to sleep I have,

Carve reality from your dreams,

Dream wonderful dreams in your dreams,

With you I wish I was,

Protect you I swear,

At bay keep the nightmare,

Voluptuously grope with care,

And fair dreams I’d smear,

I wish I was your wear.
