I couldn't believe I heard it

I couldn't believe it was said

It was said to me by my mother

As she was laying on her bed

Now lots of things you may be

But a nuisance is not one

You are simply just a mother

Who is loved by her daughters and son

And when we've had our bad times

And between us we've had a few

You've always been there helping

To try and pull us through

So you stop thinking this way, Mum

You are totally on the wrong track

Nobody is doing you a favour

We're merely paying you back
