I've thought about possessions

And what I'll leave behind

When God decides to take me

From the usual daily grind

Material things mean nothing

They stand for little worth

They're only token gestures

Of our time spend here on earth

The only thing of any value

That is worth its weight in gold

Is another human being

With another era to unfold

So when I have to leave this earth

Because God says my time is done

I will leave something spectacular

My gift of life, my Son
