The strange

It was a warm August night in Elkwood.  Charlie Murphy was playing video games with his friends Alex and Bobby. Not knowing it was midnight the three friends kept playing until Charlie’s mom came downstairs. She told Alex and Bobby it was time to go

home. Alex and Bobby ride their bikes to Charlie’s house.

They were stomping up the stairs when Charlie stopped and asked his mom if he could go ride bikes. She sighed and said ok but be back in 30 minutes. The boys got to the garage and sprung onto their bikes. The boys took off down the road. They always stay in formation like bikers do it’s something they’ve always done.

Bobby looks over and say’s “First one to Elk pond wins”, so they take off pedaling as fast as they possibly could. Charlie speeds up and passes Alex and bobby and go down a very dark creepy path only lit by moonlight. Charlie comes up to the pond and hides his bike so he could scare Alex and Bobby when they pass by. Charlie quickly and quietly ducks behind a fallen tree. Alex and Bobby are coming up and they can see Charlie ducking behind the tree.

They yell out “hey we can see you we know you’re behind the tree. There was no answer. So they walk up to the tree and look behind it and laying there motionless was Charlie’s mutilated body. They start freaking out they don’t know what to do. Alex notices that there’s a bloody trail that starts next to his body.

Not knowing what else to do they decide to follow the trail of blood. It leads to an old rundown cabin like what you see off of horror movies. They follow the trail of blood to the door that is left slightly open. When they get up the stairs there’s this overwhelming smell that make them gag. Alex says “oh what the hell is that smell I’ve smelt that before but I can’t think of what it is”.

Bobby puts his hand on the door and pushes it open and the smell comes rushing out. They can hear someone inside hastily trying to find something. The door creeks and echoes around the cabin. They can see the silhouette of a man. The man says under his breath “Ahh two more sacrifices”.

Alex And bobby turn and run out the cabin. They look at each other scared and bobby says “it’ll be ok we’ll make it”. Then a hatchet strikes Bobby in the head and he drops to the ground like a sack of potatoes. Alex trips over Bobby’s body. He grabs the handle of the hatchet and pulls it out. Blood sprayed onto Alex’s face.

Alex stumbles to his feet and hides behind an old broken down car. He can see the man getting close. He is so scared that he started to uncontrollably shake. The man can hear the hatchet scrape the gravel.  The man gets up to the car and Alex blindly swings the hatchet and hits the man in the head and he drops.

Alex sits motionless and thoughtless trying to process what happened. Alex can hear cop sirens in the distance he just sits there going over what to tell the cops. The cops arrive and tell Alex to stand up slowly showing his hands. They handcuff him and start asking him questions. He doesn’t know how to start.

He starts with him and his friends riding the bikes and the man killing Bobby. The cops put him in their car and look around. Alex starts crying and freaking out saying none of this can be real. The cops come back and tell Alex that there were no other bikes and the man was in his cabin minding his business. Alex says “what do you mean Bobby’s body is over there on the ground”. The cops say “no there was no body no bikes you came to this person’s cabin and murdered this man and now you’re going away for a long time.

The TV in the cabin is on the news and says “BREAKING NEWS kid on hallucinogens murders man sentenced to 2 life sentences in prison.
