Are you nuts?

Are you insane?

Did something, somewhere go awry in your brain

to make you think that I could ever forgive someone

who scarred me so deeply

and drove me to weeping?

When I lay there alone

with a hole in my soul did you ever

think about me and my feelings?

I didn't think so.

I was right.

Now here you come crawling back

looking back did you really think

she of all people

was worth all that?

Now I think

are you worth all that?

To forgive is to love and to love is to forgive

did she really give you what

I couldn't?

What was it?

Will you tell me now?

Look at me now.

That suffering that didn't kill me only made me stronger.

Look at yourself, boy.

You're a mess.

Did you expect

to be crying like I did?

Wounded like I was?

I didn't think so.

I was right.

I'll reach into my heart

and maybe

just maybe

forgiveness will finally make you start to see what a fool

you've really been.

Will you ever learn?

She's gone now.

I'm here.

What do you think you should choose?

It should be obvious even for

someone as dull as you.

Choose the right words

Say just the right things and it's possible

I'll let you back in to fix up

this tattered and battle-scarred heart of mine.

Did you really imagine life

to be so simple?

So many twists and curves and bumps in what should be

a perfectly straight road.

Could I really have thought this...us...

would be easy?

I really

didn't think so.

I was right.
