Cheap to fill the void, excitement is a blade growing dull
Severing the deteriorating bond that held us together.
Lying to myself, has never been fair to you; I’m sorry- you’re better than this
You know.  Sweet, but not typical- simple syrup for my iced tea.
Stop me before I walk, down a path taking you to my dried well.
My intention was never to drop your porcelain heart to shatter against the empty,
But even scrunched up noses won't lie, I prefer a lemon in my tea.
