I can't hide my feelings. This poem is where they are contained.

I don't know how much more I can handle

I'm sick of hearing talk about weight

Just when I think I'm starting to like my own body

She comes home

And practically throws it in my face

"My pants are too big,"

"My old clothes don't fit me anymore,"

"I'm pissed at my friend because he called me anorexic,"

She whines,

As if she just wants the attention,

For the body she's always wanted,

And now finally gotten

She whines, and I sit silently,

Keeping my secrets,

Letting her complain to the world

Just when I think I'm finding peace

Someone comes along and pierces my soul -

She doesn't even understand,

I'm not sure I want her to

All I want is to feel good again

Feel refreshed and invigorated,

Jealous no longer.
