I recently watched a film called "The Help", based on a vanished and unjust world: Jackson, Mississippi, 1962. Where black maids raise white children. It inspired me to write this poem because even though times have changed, many individuals are still quick to pass judgment. Its about respecting each other.

Why do we judge others,

how do we learn to forgive the mistakes we make -

When we are too quick to pass blame.

We are not perfect -

We are all the same.

We are all Humans,

Humans, with a different or same name.

We know the rights from wrongs,

but we are still quick to make assumptions,

sometimes people are to fast to hurt others,

words are weapons, words are dysfunctions.

We can always spot the bad,

but never show the good,

life is always about the negatives -

a world full of put downs, becomes sad -

prejudice, is no good.

We stand for the same cause,

we live in the same world -

We may not look the same -

but always remember,

passing judgment, causes others pain.

We are not saints, in a world full of sinners,

we often take simple yet small things for granted -

Sometimes we never practice what we preach -

learning respect, isn't always for beginners.

Its about the mannerisms on how we speak.
