The truth

I was waiting for a train that was never going to come

At my 11th birthday party they played if you're happy and you know it
I remained still for the whole song
So much is an illusion that the world could be spinning around at 360000 mph
And I wouldn't notice
There is no meaning
Yet everything matters
Like the first time you hold your baby daughter
And she's deaf
And you don't know what to call her
And your wife has stopped breathing

And when you cut your finger nails
It reminds you of when you were locked in your bedroom at night
There were no demons in the bed
But they were resting their heads on the pillows
Of the other room

I counted the stars in the skies
And spat my answer into your eyes
I can't remember the last time I looked out of my window
i keep my curtains closed now
