The Little Mouse

Snow is falling from the sky,

Birds to the warm places fly.

Children playing outside my window,

And I'm looking at the rainbow.

-

The cold breezy air

In the middle of the day,

Travel from far away,

Coming from across the bay.

-

And I am sitting in the warmth,

Coming from the long North.

Looking around my house,

I see a little mouse.

-

I get up from my old chair,

Going to him to share.

I give him a piece of cheese,

And I get on my knees.

-

I try to talk to him,

Suddenly I hear a scream.

I see my mom,

I tell her not to come.

A.F.
