The dark of night,
whispering your name under my breath I pray for release

The sweet caress across my cheek to know I will be alright
Death or dark tidings deal in honest horror that chill to the bone

Life dolled up but hollow feeds lies of its own
 whom shall I believe

Is it really a choice between honest damnation and a beautiful obliviousness?
Your memory says nay but I relinquished your right to my mind when I lost your soul.

Your thoughts call to darkness where I feel so much at home but that safety was left with your embrace
And so

For now I live the paradox fighting in the light to prove the dark wrong and create in myself a beautiful shade of grey.
