It's 2am in Nashville, midnight in LA

I sit in here silence, and I watch you sleep.

The world around is silent

Sometimes it makes me weep.

When I think of those, who on this night

Are hungry, homeless and cold.

Whose addictions, and illness

Make them feel alone.

In the silence and the darkness

I pray to you and say.

Thank you Lord, for all you've given me.

My life, my health, my happiness

A country where I am free.

Thank you Lord, for all you've given me.

I have never known hunger

Never slept out on the street.

Thank you Lord, for all you've given me.
