A Dark and Disturbing tale of a Satanic Ritual.

Upon the Ground they lie

To be covered soon in white.

The leaves of spring have fallen

This crisp, cool autumn night.

Restless spirits circle

In anticipation and delight

To dance a dance of darkness

For this is Satan’s night.

In a ritual of bloodshed

His worshippers unite

To sacrifice a virgin

Beneath the full moonlight.

They call upon the dark one

The power of his might.

They dance a dance for Satan

This crisp, cool autumn night.

I love the wording, but I have one question, please don't take this the wrong way. Should there be more to it, or am I reading to much into it? All in all it is wonderful!! ~JT~

Thank you very much, for both your question and your compliments. I do believe it's a story that could be expanded on yes.

Thank you again!

Thanks for your feedback, certainly do appreciate it.
I'm not a satanist, or an athiest either for that matter. So it's a subject matter, of which I know very little.

Thanks again,

Great work. I like it, it is dark and intruiging ( can never spell that bloody word ). I am not a satanist either, to believe in Satan is to believe in God, I don't, but I do understand christians. I love the ritualistic atmosphere you have laid out. Superb work. 5/5

Thanks,I certainly appreciate your feedback/comments. I must admit, this is one of my favorite pieces. While I'm not a Satanist and have no personal knowledge of their inner workings I still find it a fascinating subject.

Thanks again!

Darkd

Try to gain some knowledge then. Hint: Satanists don't necessarily worship the devil.

I have been told that before. I wasn't aware of that when the poem was written. It just seemed a natural connection. Thanks for the heads up.
