I promise not to  take anything that someone says to heart,
because then there won't be disappointment later.

After I let words plant deep inside my heart,
it will hurt more when they are taken away.
The thought,
the feeling,
the comfort.
All Taken Away.

Once I take words to heart,
the person who created those words can rip them out,
and shatter a portion of my heart that sheltered these words.

My Heart won't heal for weeks, months, years, the rest of my life...
Then I am left with an incomplete heart.
An incomplete heart is painful,
no matter how long I will own it.

An Incomplete heart will only become more incomplete,
if I cannot heal the first hit.
It will get hit again,
and again,
until there is nothing left.
Until my Heart isn't able to hold words at all.
Whether the words are
Real,
or Fake.
