Aubrey Hastings is a average 16 year old girl, despite one thing: she's never had a boyfriend. Never been kissed. Never told anybody “I love you,” besides her mom and dad. So when a obnoxious neighbor introduces her to a chatting site full of cute boys, Aubrey can't help but to check it out. Instead of 40-something-year-old perverts, the people she talks to are interesting and from all over the country. Soon she finds herself going on everyday, a couple minutes longer every time. Until fate intervenes in the form of fellow webcamer, Hunter. As soon as they start talking, they hit it off, and Aubrey goes on the chat site less and less and Skypes with Hunter more and more.
Eventually, Aubrey does nothing but talk to Hunter. When she's not home, she's texting Hunter, and when she is home, she falls asleep on Skype with Hunter. Hunter has intrigued like no other boy has. Aubrey realizes this, and the truth unveils; Aubrey is head-over-heels in love with him.
But, even though this story sounds like something from a fairy tale book, she realizes that it wont have the happily ever after she so desperately wants. Being teenagers and having 2,504 miles between them, Aubrey finds herself wondering; Is true love worth it?
