This is a pretty cool story that is cool

A rubber core wrapped in just over a mile of lining, sealed with off-white leather skin, and one-hundred eight ruby red stitches sealing it all into one. Pastime. People hurling this five and a quarter ounce ball at each other and hitting them with ashed wood sticks. Pastime. Dating back to before the War of Rebellion, this diversion has and always will unite people of all ages, races, and genders. As one of the greatest, Babe Ruth, once said: “Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical.” This game was, is, and always will be America’s greatest pastime.
