Little Miss Goldfish
I was the fisherman,
you were the fish,
my aim was you to hook.
To be caught by a richer man,
that was your wish,
at my bait you took no second look.

She broke my heart... Greedy cow
awww......cho chweet.....short but very very sweet as honey
u nailed it
THANKYOU. IT'S ONE OF MY FAVOURITES BELIEVE IT OR NOT. IT IS THE SECOND SHORTEST POEM I'VE EVER WRITTEN BUT EQUALLY AS EFFECTIVE AS THE ONES THAT I'VE SPENT DAYS DEVELOPING. SOMETIMES THE WORDS JUST WORK AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO SPEND TOO MUCH TIME EDITING AND RE-EDITING. THAT'S A NICE FEELING.
That's the feeling I get one I write my poems........the words just flow........it just takes 10 mins for me to pen my feeling down
LUCKY YOU, IT TAKES A LITTLE LONGER FOR ME AFTER EDITING AND RE EDITING. IT'S A NICE FEELING WHEN IT JUST "COMES TOGETHER" THOUGH. THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS.
Succinct and oh so true.
Thanks Bob. Sometimes short and sweet works best. I'm not bitter, oh no, not me, she may be swanning round in her man's ferrari but i prefer smelly, cramped public transport, honestly... ha ha.
hey this is cute
Thanks, it just 'popped into my head', which is lovely when it happens, rather than spending hours editing and re-editing.
