The End Of The Line

I see an angel, I see a demon,

I see a soul sat silent between them.

Plink! Plink! Plink! goes the water: It's torture,

so i think, think, think that I oughta stop.

_

Now, there'll be no more deaf and dumb, blind, wild child:

No more highs from addictions denied.

There'll be no more lies - I've unshut my eyes,

for the power of a will's been realised.

_

There'll be no more horns - only halos and wings -

There'll be no more yo-yo mood swings.

No more living at the speed of sound,

no bullet train - no underground.

_

There'll be no more trips to the races,

to back horses in handicap chases.

No more spin of the roulette wheel,

no fruit machine - no blackjack deal.

_

There'll be no more heebie-jeebies,

or pleas for powder freebies.

No Columbian bags of confidence,

no frozen shoulders, taught and tense.

_

There'll be no more sleep synthetic,

and making excuses pathetic.

No more drunken thuggish scenes,

no white line nights - no ecstacy.

_

There'll be no more "manana...manana..."

and no more banana skin feet - no slips.

There'll be no more binges, and nerves with twinges,

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
