It stands alone

Full of shadows

No more known

As it falls apart

Vines creep up its

Brick walls, creating

A ghostly shadow.

The gate is unpainted

Off one hindge

The sidewalk is over

Grown with weeds

The hedges grow wild

Unkept in an out-of-control

Way. It keeps at bay.

The windows are cracked

Look spooky.

The front door is missing

What's to become?

Who will help?

It is old, built 1945.

Holds historic value.

Even now, it needs care

Over achieved, under developed

The old house

In danger of closure.
