These things I hold turn to ash

As I stand here beginning to rust

Pelted by the rain I still stand

Twisted and weathered

With no motion from this being

Unable to move I feel the Earth

In twining my legs like tree roots

Shutting down I just remain

Returning from where I once came

Returning to my mother the Earth

Paying for all my sins not fighting

This evil will that drives me under

Darkness now surrounds me

But I feel free from all the chains of people that bind me

A friend of there's I once was

No longer their bitch my mother the Earth has freed me

Not ashamed of who I am or where I came from

Returning from where I once came

Returning to my mother the Earth

Paying for all my sins not fighting

This evil will that drives me under

Now filled will glee these deep scars begin to heal

A new day it is for me

A warm touch on my skin my mother the earth has healed me

Returning from where I once came

Returning to my mother the Earth

Paying for all my sins not fighting

This evil will that drives me under

Dying so many times above

Always the fool never able to win

So thank you my mother the earth

I am now truly home
