As I sit here crying in shivering rain

The world still turns

All I am is a spec of dust on this plain of existence

Just like the rain the fresh blood pours down my hands

A couple of slashes on my wrists I made an hour ago

I watch gush after gush as it mixes with the rain

Numb to the physical pain

Confused by all the images in my head

So many questions on the tip of my tongue

Lost in a dark wood

Quickly slipping from this mortal coil

This is what I chose when I made these slashes

Walking to my hidden space

Not letting people see the way I have chosen to leave this place

Should I leave a note saying sorry written in my own blood?

I don't understand why I feel this way

Something deep inside spurs me on to end this life

Maybe it is because I listen to all the voices in my head

Perhaps the Dr was right I should have taken the pills she prescribed
