There are so many things we wish we could do to end our own pain or to make our life better. For me tho it is how I wish to stop the pain!

Drawing the knife to my chest

The flood gates of memories remind

Me so sweetly why I am doing this

Plunging this shiny blade into my withered skin

I make the first incision

Watching in sick delight as the blood begins to trickle

Amy Lee sings in the background as I perform my surgery

Soft and elegant but devastatingly crushing

Carving away like I am a mere chicken carcase

Snapping each rib like a wishbone in order to reach my goal

Anaesthetized to the pain I reach in to the hole I just mined

Hoping to tear out the very object that causes so much grief

For the last thing I wish to see is my heart stop beating

As I offer it to the grim ripper in exchange for descending my soul

In to the black hole of my own oblivion
