They say it's the sandman who puts you to sleep. Remember the song? Well I think in my life at least he's MIA

The sandman doses sweetly sneak up on me.
Sending me gently to sleep
With dreams of false promise

Blissfully I do slumber unaware of his sinister plan
One he now has me ensnared in
To sleep whilst my eyes appear awake
A slave to his golden sleep dust is the sandman’s evil desire.

Making me long for my next hit
Leaves me wanting with hated breath
Acting uncontrollably searching for a sign
I toss and turn hoping for his untimely return

Lost in the anger of the lack of sleep I breakdown
No longer able to achieve a simple task
Moaning that I am tired when I have no truthful right.

Rubbing my red eyes I want to die
At least then I can slumber for the rest of time
