I had a vision that I tried to shape into this poem, while writing, I realized how many perspectives could be taken when reading it, so enjoy it however you like it

A little quite village by the sea

Never knew light, except for that of fire

There was a grey smoke in the sky we all could see

A day would end when all our chiefs retire

I always dreamt that there were lights to be

Beyond the smoke, greater than our fire

“ It is up there and I can almost taste it,

It’s greater than all our woods to waste it,

It speaks to me and says (Oh dear,

I’m getting close to you , so don’t be so hasty)”

They said “Enough you crazy foolish liar,

how dare you speak ill of the holy fire ?!!

The wrath it holds is way beyond our power

This is why young flesh is its favorite pyre”

“ Did you forget that one time you had lit it ?!

Your tongues do hide it yet your hearts admit it !

A robe can't wear you as long as you knit it !

So be my flesh its food if you desire”

And so they did, they fed me to the fire

It grew so large just as it would aspire

then kissed the sea and died with me as well

A new king rose right when the previous fell
