Walking Shoes

She said she couldn't bare to see me walk out of her life, so I stayed thinking everything would be fine.

Just when I opened the doors of my heart to love again, she walked out of mine.

They say that hurt people only hurt people so I choose healing over heartache, sunshine over rain.

Somebody has to break this vicious cycle destroy a link in this chain of pain.

Momma told me there would be days like this, when I long for her kiss and her touch.

When I would would want to run down the same path she walked out on, just because I still love her that much.

But hurt people only hurt people, this I now know, this is my self help.

When whole people willing get involved with hurt people they only hurt their self.
