How do I trust this world of lies?
full of people capable of pain
looking into someones unfaithful eyes
as he kisses his girlfriend goodbye

How do I trust what could be a guilty face
as people say it's the truth when that's not the case
A broken heart in more ways then one
once there was truth and now there is none

What happened to the days when you could believe a promise
not knowing the possible secrets behind his passionate kiss
Not knowing if the words said are true
is he the one with the problem or is it you

An innocent man being put into jail
as the judge didn't believe the truth in his tale
That same day a murderer being let go
into a city of people who do not know

A room full of people wondering the thoughts behind each face
Is a smile really a smile? Or is it to hide the hurt
As a wife treats her faithfull husband like a piece of dirt

Where is the truth in the world that we live
