Daddy, can you hear me?
I'm calling for you.
I had a bad dream, daddy,
And your not here for me to cry to;
To Cuddle up to; to sleep next to.
You know you're the only one who can make me feel better.
Daddy, can you hear me?
I'm calling for you.

Daddy, can you hear me?
I'm asking for you.I need you. I can't sleep.
Can you read me a story, daddy?
I've already picked which one.
The happy one, with the daughter,
And the mama, and the daddy.
Daddy, can you hear me?
I'm asking for you.

Daddy, can you hear me?
I'm waiting on you.
It's the father-daughter picnic today.
I took out your favorite tie to wear,
and I made sure my teacher
Packed our favorite snacks, you know, the ones we'd always eat together,
Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and a cold cup of milk.
Daddy, can you hear me?
I'm waiting on you.

Daddy, can you hear me?
I need you.
I've lost the teddy you won for me at the fair last year-
Mr. Wiggles.
You know that I can't sleep without him.
I know you have a whole collection somewhere with your old things.
Maybe I can just use one of those!
Where is it, daddy? Where's your old teddys?
Daddy, can you hear me?
I need you.

It's been one whole year, daddy,
since I've seen you last.
Where did you go?
When wil you be home?
I promise, that if you come home now, I won't ever complain ever again!
I'll even bake you your favorite cookies!
Just please, daddy, come home to me!
Daddy, where are you? I miss you.
I love you.
