This is a dedication to a very special friend of mine who had to leave us after only three years. My thirteenth birthday was positively the worst one because that was the day my Boxer died.

There are some friends in life whose lives are short
Not by anyone's fault, of course
But when they leave, we want them more
This happened with Boxer

From day one she was always there
Ready to play or walk on a day most fair
Waiting for someone to run their fingers through her golden hair
That was always Boxer

God granted us just three short years
Which only the last ended in tears
The day the vet's call confirmed my fears
The day I lost my Boxer

Now I stand on cold August day
Knowing that all I can do is pray
And lay a flower on her lonely grave
Oh, how I miss my Boxer
