My brand new Verse Novel. It's about a girl, who faces many hardships on her quest for better life. I tried to make a medieval fairytale like atmosphere. And Gosh, I epically fail at describing women.

Long time ago, in distant past,
When dragons roamed, when time flew fast,
When knights and kings were true enough,
When life was beautiful, but tough
In deep green forest, up the hill
There was a dirty little mill.
The mill was rather old and worn
With shattered windows, growing thorns,
With broken sails, leaky walls;
It had withstood too many squalls…
In this small windmill, all alone
A little girl had found her home.
She wasn’t short, nor was she tall,
Her nose was elegant and small,
She had blond hair, tanned skin,
Two “blushy” cheeks and small, cute chin.
Her deep green eyes and charming voice
Could leave your heart without a choice…
She was alone, no mom or dad,
But she was strong and never sad,
With ringing motto in her head
She rose and shone from her small bed:
“A sound body, sound soul:
With these two things I’ll reach my goal.”
And every day she had to strife,
To cut some plants with silver knife,
To pick some mushrooms, get some wood,
To make a fire, cook some food.
What happened next ‘won’t tell today…
Her name was Astrid by the way~
