No returning to the bedroom of denied dreams,

Full of promise, no statement of means,

I won’t look past what we had,

For those memories I am glad,

Though now I fear I must have been mad.

Soon there will be someone new to view,

To heavens gates I will have to queue,

Kneel and take my time on the pew,

Vows never taken, but must review,

Look back to the past to find the clue.

Looking through my childhood window,

Love, laughter, dreams of tomorrow,

So easy when life could just flow,

Only scared of shadows from a tree,

Give to go back to little me.
