All my poems seem to have a similar theme

There comes a feeling entwined with introspection,

That hurt is most likely the easiest weapon.

It creeps, this feeling.

Akin to that of forgetting a vice

You know you should do without.

Suffering with suffering’s namesake

Helps to blot the yellow page

And cover it with delusive whimsy.

Turning to theory for help with the English Language,

So far to break the ribbon bows that

Hold my grin.

I find myself just filling cubes, then

Regretting when progress falters.
But they’ll be filled again,

Waiting to empty when

All’s been said.
