Sad, broken-hearted poetry. It's not my best, but I'd like to share it with you.

I’ve done everything a human can do
To possibly try and erase you
But no matter how many days go by
No matter how many tears I cry
And no matter how many pictures I burn
I still see you everywhere I turn
A part of me will never stop loving you
And I miss those blue and green eyes of yours
A part of me doesn’t want to believe reality is true
Like living without those warm hugs and kisses I adored
When you left my heart followed like running feet
Put your hand on my chest, you won’t feel a beat
I thought we had love, so beautiful and tender
But I guess I was wrong and I guess you were a pretender
