I couldn't sleep one night, so I decided to put some pen on paper, and I came up with this. Nothing too much, really. Just a simple little poem.

I never thought I'd lose it all.

Thought I could forget the fall.

But I can see that I was wrong.

And you'll be gone before long.

I tried so hard to make you see

Everything you did to me.

How could I turn it around,

When my heart was on the ground?

My life used to be a meadow,

But now it's just a shadow

Of what it used to be with you here.

I just wish I could've held you near.

How was it so easy to let me go?

I found myself in a place so low.

Couldn't escape with walls so steep.

And you let me sink so deep.

I never thought I'd lose it all.

I thought I could forget the fall.

But I can see that I was wrong.

Because I'll be gone before long.
