Scars populate my skin.
The memories hold onto my heart;
Dying with every beat.
The voices in the dark,
They call me home.
I'm just a mortal man;
The weakness breaks me down.
They take my hand,
And I'll dance with the devil tonight.
I walk through the valley of death,
Where you left me.
I whisper your name in the wind,
Beckoning your return.
I walk in the shadows,
Shrouded in a ghostly veil;
Never having to leave your side,
We can be forever now...

Really like this poem. Strong expression of the pain caused by being left behind by death.
Especially liked 'I walk through the valley of death, where you left me.'
