This poem is about holding onto hope even in the strongest storms, even if they seem to sweep you away.

My will is shrinking,

My bones are breaking.

My voice is lost inside me;

These afflictions consume my soul.

The tears mix with the rain

Dripping down my face,

As I wait for you.

The storm grows stronger,

And the wind knocks me down.

Frantically, I look for something to hold on to.

If only you'd open the door

And reach out a hand;

Hold on to me before I get swept away.

Stronger, the wind eats away my strength;

I can hardly stand on my own.

Soon I'll be carried away in this monsoon.

You can't hear my voice in the wind,

You can't see my tears in the rain.

I'm becoming a ghost,

Enslaved in the darkness;

Within myself.
