The sun sets on the horizon.

The wind is cold,

Against my tears.

So serene here,

Upon this cliff.

I let my legs dangle off the edge.

The sun reminds me of you,

And it's staring back at me;

So full of beauty.

The sun sinks further down,

And I plead it not to go.

The world grows darker;

The wind grows colder.

My surroundings begin to fade away.

My need for the sun is great,

For I will surely die without its warmth.

It's nearly gone now;

Just a faint reality in the distance.

I feel the night creeping upon my back,

Sitting in the silence of time.

The few minutes of light are precious.

No longer will I rest my eyes upon the setting sun.

As it fades below the Earth,

I reach out for it,

And I slip off the edge...
