Your life, you choose what you want to do.

Work for your money or life on the brew?

Is that a reality for all girls and boys?

No, reality is theres rarely the choice.

''Why aren't you working'' is the Gestapo mans question.

You tell him theres no jobs that pay or offer a pension.

He smirks and says ''You'll take whats on offer!!!''

Minimum wage? Will that fill your coffer?

He signs, but he warns you ''You must look even harder!''

But just how do you set sail with no ships in the harbour?

If you had his job, you'd be more understanding

and far more deserving of the wage he's commanding.

Funny how its always guys like him doing that job,

looking down his nose at the unemployed mob.

Battered at school with no burd and no friends,

He found a job where he reaps some revenge.

You console yourself, you won't see him for a while,

you've a fortnight of Bargain Hunt and Jeremy Kyle.

You wish you were earning and life wasn't this way,

but thats just how it goes in a Scottish working day
