-Armstrongs Arrow-

Standing in the gates of heaven,
The rain smelled like war,
I was trying to conceal,
All the bodies on the floor,
*
The blood was like a signal,
drawing sirens to the curse,
I asked a violin player,
To take the dead out in his hearse,
*
And they cried rivers of ink and eternity,
Together, the figures of faith,
With hooded heads and blacked out eyes,
screaming 'Mercy, leave us safe'
*
Somthing stirred in the Garden of Angels and Roses,
*
Here beneth this God faced star,
I mourn the free who fell,
It's Angels hung my martyrs,
Over what they knew of Hell.
*
It was six points of razor sharp,
The bearer never done me good,
He played seduction on his harp,
Then threw me to the dogs.
*
And they cried rivers of ink and eternity,
Together, the figures of faith,
With hooded heads and blacked out eyes,
screaming 'Mercy, leave us safe'
*
Somthing stirred in the Garden of Angels and Roses,
*
My sweetheart becomes Orpheus,
I, a male Eurydice,
Should my soul be claim to Hades,
Because of her entice.
*
So I drop the sword of my mighty pursuit,
and beg for wings of my own,
To fly away and never look back,
to the ground where it was thrown.
*
And they cried rivers of ink and eternity,
Together, the figures of faith,
With hooded heads and blacked out eyes,
screaming 'Mercy, leave us safe'
*
I marked my wall with a dove in a lime tree,
His rightful signature,
Born at the crest of desires wave,
The flesh of sexual rapture.
*
While tears fell from the eyes of the damned,
Somthing stirred in the Garden of Angels and Roses,
In the Garden of Angels and Roses,
The boy child Aphrodite bore on his head a halo of thorns,
In the Garden of Angels and Roses.
