I know a parallelism between your heart and mine I know infinite intentions and not enough time I know in ten seconds your facial expressions will get the better of us I know the most sacred truths only surface with trust I know the tiptoe ladder I climb to his kisses I know I can fall, let go, and be lifted I know one constant, love, and it has many faces I know it weathers misunderstanding as well as mistaking I know relationships are what we make I know how to give to those willing to take I know indifference-care so strong, it disables and diverts I know sitting down, trying to express what words don't deserve I know wild enthusiasm and then agitated reserve I know sad happiness and awesome concern I know freedom that's wholly captivating I know one occassion -life- and believe it's worth celebrating I know change in mind, change in heart, and the remarkable difference I know how to hear, and I'm still learning to listen I know how to forgive and let myself be forgiven I know how to love, and I won't ask for permission I know that life always merits exploring I know what routine looks like - ugly and boring I know one breath can teach me everything I know feelings so strong they escape measuring I know how to stop time and release my mind I know how to just be and feel I'm alive I know none of this knowledge can be right I know I know nothing at all I only offer insight Who wants to know? This may be 'trite' But have you noticed what great friendships Questions invite?
