Unable to tear my eyes away from this strange droning object.
I was captured, hypnotized by its noisy sound and colourful movement.
wildly spinning cogs interlocking vivid blurs of bright greens and yellows.
Three shiny red wheels shuddered and chugged around their unsteady axles.
It almost toppled over with its tumbling swaying awkward rolling gait.
This chattering mechanism lumbering across the floor towards me.
Blue googly eyes rolled alarmingly, frightening in yellow globe sockets.
Cold hard body brushes my toe, spasmodically flinching away my foot.
Lip trembling with nervousness, glistening tears well up in anxious eyes.
Raising arms up to the heavens supplicating, pleading for help, imploring.
Loving hands reaching, holding, carrying to safety.
Protected snuggling within reassuring arms.
Consoling, “did the nasty toy scare you.”
Tickling fingers making me giggle.
